Nana’s Corn Chowder

I love comfort food especially when the weather turns cooler, I think there is no better way to warm up on cool fall evenings then with some corn chowder....Here is my recipe. We have been enjoying this for years! I hope you give it a try!

4 slices of bacon chopped
1 medium onion chopped
1 ½ cups of raw potato diced
1 large can of creamed corn
3 cups of hot water
1 can of evaporated milk
1 tsp each of ... salt ... pepper... red pepper flakes... and paprika
1 Tablespoon butter
In a heavy frying pan saute bacon and onions until bacon is cooked. Place in a large pot, add potato, corn and water cover and simmer until potato is Cooked. Add can milk and butter. Salt peper and red pepper flakes.

Simmer for 15 mins.
If chowder is too thin... Thicken with flour.
Add Paprika and Serve Hot!

Makes 6 Servings
